About Alzolam 0.5 Tablet
Alzolam 0.5 Tablet is primarily used for short-term relief of severe anxiety and for managing panic disorder, with or without agoraphobia (a fear of certain situations or places). Anxiety involves persistent worry or nervousness, while panic disorder causes sudden bouts of intense fear, often without any real threat, accompanied by symptoms like rapid heartbeat.
Alzolam 0.5 Tablet works by calming overly active nerve signals in the brain. It enhances the action of GABA, a natural chemical that helps relax the nervous system, resulting in reduced anxiety, relaxed muscles, and improved sleep.
You can take Alzolam 0.5 Tablet with or without food. Your doctor will determine the correct dosage based on your condition. Some common side effects include drowsiness, sleepiness, dizziness, memory issues, uncoordinated movements, headache, dry mouth, constipation, and irritability. These effects are usually mild and temporary but consult your doctor if they persist.
Avoid using Alzolam 0.5 Tablet if you are allergic to it or have conditions like narrow-angle glaucoma, liver/kidney problems, chronic lung issues, or a history of drug misuse. It is not suitable for children under 18 and should be avoided during pregnancy and breastfeeding due to potential risks to the baby. Do not mix it with opioid medications, as this may lead to serious breathing problems.
