Description

Salicylix SF6 Ointment – Salicylic Acid Ointment 6 50gm is a topical prescription treatment for patients with psoriasis and other scaly skin conditions. The active ingredient, Salicylic acid acts as a peeling agent that causes the shedding of the outer layer of the skin. The topical medication is also effective at removing dead skin from warts, the palms of the hand, and the soles of the feet. The drug is not recommended for children younger than two years of age. Salicylic acid causes the skin to shed dead skin cells from the epidermis and increases the moisture level in the skin, which makes it easier for the skin to shed dead skin cells. This, in turn, softens the skin and reduces scaling and dryness caused by the skin conditions mentioned above.

Do not let Salicylix 6 get into the eyes, mouth, lips, nose, genitals, and anal areas. Do not use this medication on moles or birthmarks, on warts with hair growing from them, red edges, or unusual color. Also, do not apply Salicylic acid topical medication on sunburned, windburned, dry, chapped, irritated, or broken skin, or on open wounds. If the medication gets onto such areas accidentally, wash it with water.
