How to Take Femilon Tablet

Femilon can be taken with or without food, but it should be taken at the same time each day for best results. Start the tablet on the first day of your menstrual cycle and continue taking it daily until the pack is finished. Once the pack ends, begin a new one without delay.

If vomiting occurs within 4 hours of taking the tablet, take another dose. If you miss a tablet and the delay is more than 12 hours, use a condom for the next 2 days to avoid pregnancy.

Possible Side Effects

Some women may experience nausea, headaches, breast tenderness, stomach discomfort, or weight gain. These effects usually lessen as your body adjusts. You may also notice spotting, missed periods, or bleeding between cycles. If such symptoms continue or worsen, consult your doctor.

Seek immediate medical help if you develop leg swelling or pain, chest pain, breathing difficulty, or vision changes, as these could indicate a blood clot.

Important Precautions

Before using Femilon, inform your doctor if you:

• Smoke and are over 35 years old

• Have a history of heart attack, blood clots, or cancer of the uterus, cervix, or vagina

• Are taking other medications, as some can reduce its effectiveness

Femilon should not be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Regular monitoring of blood pressure, cholesterol, and blood sugar levels may be required during treatment.
