Minocycline has no effect on blackheads or whiteheads; it is primarily effective on red, pus-filled pimples and papules.

Your body has thousands of oil-producing glands, the bulk of which are located on your face, chest, and upper back. This oil rises throughout puberty and can clog your pores, along with dead skin cells, creating a breeding environment for germs.
