Suganril (Piroxicam)

Suganril prescriptions should only be provided by doctors who have expertise diagnosing, evaluating, and treating patients with inflammatory or degenerative rheumatic disorders.

The daily maximum dosage advised is 20 mg.

Using the smallest effective dose for the shortest amount of time required to treat symptoms will help reduce any unwanted effects. Within 14 days, it is important to reevaluate the treatment’s effectiveness and tolerability. If ongoing therapy is deemed required, it should be done so with periodic reviews.

Piroxicam’s effectiveness and safety in children under the age of 12 are unknown.

Benefits:

Suganril is used to treat the symptoms and indications of osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and ankylosing spondylitis, a chronic inflammatory rheumatic disease that mostly impacts the spine but can affect other joints as well.

Side-effects:

A higher risk of significant cardiovascular thrombotic events, such as myocardial infarction and stroke, which can be deadly, is brought on by nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory medicines (NSAIDs). With continued use, this danger may materialize early in the course of the therapy.

Suganril may have harmful side effects, such as:
